How to Automatically Clear Local Cache

If you want to prevent members from seeing cached data such as deleted account information or browsing history when opening a profile, you can enable the automatic Clear local cache feature. This ensures members only retrieve the latest cloud-synced data upon opening a profile. This function can be configured either globally or customized for individual profiles.

1. Global Settings

1.1 Set Up Clear Local Cache Rules

Navigate to the “Clear Local Cache” module under “Global Settings”.

  • Clearing method:
    • Do Not Clear: Does not automatically clear local cache.
    • Clear All Local Cache: Automatically clears cached data including Cookie, Local Storage, IndexedDB, Account Passwords, History, and Cached images/videos.
    • Custom Clear Local Data: Automatically clears only the selected types of cached data.
  • Clear Frequency:
    • Clear every time the profile is opened: Automatically clears local cache each time a member opens the profile.
    • Custom clear frequency: Clears cache the first time a profile is opened every X days, based on the set interval.

Check the option “Sync cloud data after clearing” to ensure members immediately receive the latest cloud-synced data upon entering the profile.

1.2 Profile Settings

Go to Profiles from the left navigation bar, and edit a single profile or batch edit multiple profiles.

Set the Clear Local Cache module to “Global Settings”.

2. Custom Settings

If you only wish to enable automatic local cache clearing for a specific profile, edit that profile, set the Clear local cache option to “Custom”, and configure the settings (the options are identical to those in Global Settings).
