Personal Settings – Simulated Input Delay

In fingerprint browsers, the simulated input delay feature is a security function. This feature mimics the pauses and typing speed of a user during input, making the user’s actions appear more natural and thereby reducing the risk of being tracked or identified.

Specifically, the simulated input delay feature introduces deliberate pauses during user input, mimicking the natural speed and habits of typing on a keyboard rather than entering entire sequences at once. This prevents malware or websites from identifying users or tracking their behavior by analyzing input patterns and typing speeds.

If you are on a free plan, you must upgrade to any paid plan to access this feature.

Setup Method

  • Open and log in to the DICloak software. Click the avatar in the upper-right corner to enter [Personal Settings]. Click [Settings] to view the [Simulated Input Delay] feature.
  • Enter the delay in milliseconds to simulate real human typing. (The input unit here is milliseconds, 1000 milliseconds = 1 second. After setting, it can simulate the delay in milliseconds of real people input. The larger the input value, the greater the delay, that is, the longer it takes to complete the entire information input. It is recommended to set it not more than 500 milliseconds.)
  • Open the browser profile, copy the content you want to simulate typing, then in the input field of a webpage with a domain, press the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + U or right-click and select “Input Simulation”. This will input the clipboard content, character by character, with the set delay. Note that once the simulated input delay is activated, it cannot be interrupted midway.
