Q:What is a digital fingerprint?
A digital fingerprint, also known as an online fingerprint or browser fingerprint, refers to a unique identifier generated by various attributes of a device or browser when it interacts with websites or online services. These attributes include information such as browser types, versions, operating systems, screen resolutions, installed fonts, language preferences, time zone, and more. Digital fingerprints are used by websites and online services for various purposes, including authentication, tracking users’ behaviors, and preventing fraudulent activities.
About Proxy
Q: What is a proxy protocol?
A proxy protocol refers to the intermediary role played between client and server machines using the TCP/IP protocol. It is used to facilitate client machines within an internal network to access servers on the Internet or enhancing communication security.
Q:Does DICloak offer proxies?
DICloak’s official side does not directly provide any proxy connection services. Users who need to obtain proxies can purchase them from the recommended channels within the 【IP Proxies】 – 【Resources】 section of the DICloak browser. Alternatively, they can acquire proxies independently from other third – party service providers. Creating each DICloak browser environment is equivalent to owning a uniquely configured “virtual computer”. When accessing web pages using this environment, the account login environment information retrieved by the other party will all originate from this “virtual computer”, thus ensuring the privacy and independence of operations.
Q: Why do I need to set up a proxy?
An antidetect browser requires proxy configuration for several reasons:
- Anonymity: Using proxies helps conceal user’s true IP addresses, enhancing their account anonymity and privacy when browsing on the internet.
- Geolocation spoofing: Proxies enable users to appear as if they are accessing the internet from a different geographic location, which can be useful to bypass geo-restrictions or access certain region-specific content.
- Anti-blocking: Proxies can help bypass censorship or website blocks by rerouting traffic through servers in locations where access is not restricted.
- Traffic diversification: By using proxies with different IP addresses, users can simulate multiple devices or access the internet from various locations, making it harder for detection systems to track and profile their online activities.
Q: Can I use DICloak without configuring a proxy?
Yes, you can use DICloak without configuring a proxy. You can select “No proxy (Direct connection)“, then the browser profile will use the network of the computer on which you currently have DICloak browser open, connecting directly to the network.
Q: Can I configure the same proxy for multiple browser profiles?
To ensure the uniqueness of the profile, it is not recommended to configure the same proxy for multiple browser profiles. Using different proxies for multiple browser profiles is safer for your accounts.
